Holysmoke! Events were engaged by PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney to manage the event and PR campaign for the relaunch of the newly refurbished hotel. On the 19th February, 2013 over 400 guests from business, entertainment and travel & tourism industries joined celebrities, Federal Ministers and corporate heavyweights to celebrate the multi million dollar upgrade of this treasured Australian brand.

We secured Australian television personalities Rodger Corser and Laura Csortan to host the night with RnB star Timomatic and X-Factor judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte performing live with John Foreman on Baby Grand. Local celebrity DJ and Australia’s Next Top Model judge Didier Cohen was brought in to spin the decks throughout the event.

Our team worked with Executive Chef Hamish Neale and the PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney to design memorable food experiences for guests which included a enormous cheese table, colourful candy bar and dessert table with branded cupcakes, colourful macaroons and personalised branded Chinese Fortune Cookies. This was complimented by a series of interactive installations around sport, fashion, culture & entertainment as well as one showcasing the hotel’s new fresh design features and online assets.

The event was featured in the social pages of both Sydney Sunday newspapers as well as dozens of trade and online publications and sites generating over $1 million in PR Value in over 100 editorial placements.

After executing the incredibly successful event at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Holysmoke! was brought on to manage the PR for all Pan Pacific Hotels Group properties in Australia – Including Pan Pacific Perth, PARKROYAL Parramatta, PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, the announcement of PARKROYAL Melbourne for 2016 as well as continued work across PARKROYAL Darling Harbour. Over the 12 month engagement Holysmoke! secured editorial is excess of $3.5 million value across both trade and consumer media.
